Robert is the Chief Executive Officer of MS Reinsurance, the primary reinsurance arm of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company. He joined MS Re in January 2022 to lead the company’s transformation efforts to become a world-class, global reinsurance platform, providing clients with long-term and stable capacity.

Based in Zurich, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge from his 30 years’ experience in the reinsurance industry working across strategy, management, advisory, underwriting, and leadership roles at Swiss Re. Most recently he held the position of Chief Operating Officer of their Reinsurance division, overseeing global strategy and operations. Prior to this, he spent five years in Beijing as CEO of Swiss Re China, and five years in Hong Kong as Strategy and Operations Officer for Asia, developing the market by building bridges across business, political, and academic sectors. Robert has also served as a board member for several insurance-related companies in China, India, and Europe including Swiss Re Reinsurance Holdings and Alltrust Insurance.

Charles joined MS Reinsurance in January 2021 as Chief Underwriting Officer. Based in Zurich, Charles shares his time between offices in the US and Bermuda and is responsible for delivering client value through MS Re’s underwriting organization. By setting the underwriting strategy and risk appetite, he leads the Company’s global underwriting team, driving innovation, underwriting performance, and profitable growth across MS Re’s worldwide portfolio of non-life reinsurance risks.

Charles brings a strong skill set of actuarial and reinsurance knowledge, backed by his 25+ years of industry experience working in leadership roles. Charles worked previously at PartnerRe for 16 years, and before that with Gerling Global Reinsurance and as a consultant at Milliman.

Antonia joined MS Reinsurance in April 2021 as Human Resources Director, before being promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer in 2023. Based in Zurich, Antonia’s leadership style is characterized by a dynamic blend of strategic foresight and empathetic engagement, fostering a culture where innovation and collaboration thrive. Her commitment to ethical stewardship has not only shaped a robust talent pipeline but also ensured that MS Re's workforce remains agile, motivated, and well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the reinsurance industry.

Antonia has over 20 years of industry experience working across strategy, management, and leadership roles as a global HR professional. Prior to MS Re, Antonia worked at Jones Lang LaSalle, as HR Director, overseeing capital markets and employees across EMEA regions. At Prudential plc, she was responsible for talent management prior to building up their Africa business, growing it to 500 employees and 1,000 agents. At Zurich Insurance Group, Antonia served as HR Business Partner for the APAC region.

Martin joined MS Reinsurance in May 2021 as Head of Operations and Transformation and stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer in December 2021. Based in Zurich, Martin oversees MS Re’s day-to-day operational activities, including the company’s operations, claims management, middle office, and business change functions. His team ensures that all processes run efficiently and effectively to support the growth and profitability of the company.

Martin has three decades of industry experience across strategic, leadership, and operational roles. Before joining MS Re, Martin worked at AXA XL as Strategic Projects Director and Head of Operations for Catlin Re Switzerland. He began his reinsurance career at Swiss Re, working there for 14 years, last holding the position of Head of Group Credit Risk Reporting. Martin’s expertise lies in reinsurance operations management, organizational development, and change delivery.

Based in Zurich, Gregoire rejoined MS Reinsurance in May 2020 as Chief Operations Officer, following some consultancy work in the ILS industry. After a two-year tenure as Chief Technical Underwriting Officer, he assumed the role of Chief Risk Officer in March 2023, overseeing MS Re’s risk management framework, including legal, financial, actuarial, and enterprise-wide risks.

With over 25 years of experience in financial services and leadership roles, Gregoire previously held executive positions at MS Amlin, including CEO, Chief Operations Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. He played a key role in launching and managing the Zurich-based platform that rebranded as MS Reinsurance in 2023. Before MS Amlin, Gregoire held senior positions at Credit Suisse, Citigroup, and Swiss Re, where he led strategic reinsurance transactions. Throughout his career, he has successfully led the creation, merger, and restructuring of several (re)insurance companies.

Marcus joined MS Reinsurance in February 2023 as Head of Underwriting Operations and was promoted to Chief Technical Underwriting Officer in December 2023. Based in Zurich, he leads the technical aspects of the company’s reinsurance portfolio, overseeing technical underwriting and pricing, risk analytics, and underwriting operations. His team focuses on building comprehensive end-to-end analytical capabilities to quantify and monitor risk and reward, securing governance and oversight, providing quality assurance and aligning technical functions with broader business strategies.

With 30 years of global reinsurance experience, Marcus has held key leadership roles across front and middle office functions. Before MS Re, he was Head of Global Underwriting Support and Product Center at Axis Capital. He also spent 17 years at PartnerRe. During his tenure there, he held positions including Head of Analysis and Reporting and Chief Operating Officer, Specialty Lines as well as Head of Credit & Surety. He began his reinsurance career at Swiss Re in Marine Underwriting.

Celia (Cece) joined MS Reinsurance in March 2024 as Chief Communications Officer. Based in Bermuda, she leads the company’s internal and external communication, brand, and marketing strategies, supporting MS Re’s business goals. Cece also serves as Location Director of the Bermuda Office, overseeing local initiatives that promote culture, engagement, and corporate social responsibility and serves as a liaison between the company’s leadership and the location.

Cece is a highly accomplished executive with more than 30 years of experience in brand, M&A and change communication, organizational engagement, culture transformation, and leadership development. Prior to joining MS Re, Cece was Chief Communications Officer at PartnerRe, where she developed and executed the company’s communication and brand strategy. Passionate about using communication to drive business success, Cece is dedicated to building purpose-driven organizations through connection and strategic leadership.

Francesco joined MS Reinsurance in November 2010 and became Chief Financial Officer in 2022. Based in Zurich, he oversees the company’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring these align with MS Re’s broader strategic goals. Francesco leads the Finance team in managing capital allocation, investment strategies, and liquidity, driving financial stability and profitability. He also monitors financial performance and ensures efficient capital utilization to support business growth.

With nearly 20 years of reinsurance industry experience, Francesco has built a strong track record in developing financial strategies that fuel growth. He began his career as an accountant at PWC Zurich’s insurance practice and, before joining MS Re, Francesco most recently served as Head of Financial Accounting and Controlling at Allianz SE Zurich Reinsurance Branch, managing financial as well as statutory reporting and leading the Finance team.

Benedikt joined MS Reinsurance in February 2023 as Chief Information and Data Officer. Based in Zurich, he oversees the company’s global IT and data strategy. He leads MS Re’s digital transformation, with a focus on value creation, by leveraging technology to drive data-driven decision-making, automation, and a superior user experience—all in support of business operations and strategic goals.

With over 25 years of experience in the reinsurance industry, Benedikt has a strong track record in developing innovation and core IT solutions for global businesses. Prior to joining MS Re, he spent seventeen years at AXIS Re, where he executed the company’s global IT strategy and led the IT organization, managing services across underwriting, pricing/modeling, technical accounting, claims, finance, and reserving. Before that, Benedikt worked at Swiss Re in several positions.

Jörg joined MS Reinsurance in March 2022 as Chief Underwriting Officer for the Company’s International business. Based in Zurich, Jörg has responsibility for the underwriting teams for all treaty reinsurance in the EMEA and APAC regions.

Jörg has almost 30 years of reinsurance industry experience and a proven track record of building profitable client portfolios and driving strategic business development initiatives. Before joining PartnerRe as Head of Global Client and Broker Management, Jörg spent 15 years at Munich Re. During this time, he played a key role in developing business relationships within the Lloyd’s market, including serving as a Non-Executive Director of Beaufort Underwriting Ltd. He also in this time led business development within the public sector and formed strategic partnerships with key brokers and clients in global regions as Head of Corporate Client and Channel Management.

Louis joined MS Reinsurance in October 2014 as Head of Latin America and was promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer, Americas in 2021. Based in Miami, Louis is responsible for all of P&C treaty underwriting across US, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean markets.

With 35 years of experience working in underwriting, management, and leadership roles in the LATAM and Caribbean re/insurance markets, Louis brings deep and personal market knowledge with each client interaction. Louis was previously at JLT Re, during which time he served as the Managing Director of their Miami office, and prior to that VP, Latin America and the Caribbean for SCOR. Throughout his career, Louis has managed teams across locations from Miami to New York to Bermuda, serving multiple markets and lines of business.

Rinat joined MS Reinsurance in August 2021 as Head of Global Agriculture. Based in Zurich, he is responsible for the growth and development of MS Re’s worldwide Agriculture portfolio of crop, livestock/bloodstock, forestry and aquaculture including exposure control, capital planning, and workflow optimization.

Rinat has almost 30 years of reinsurance industry experience. Before joining MS Re, Rinat spent 25 years at PartnerRe, most recently as Head Agriculture Worldwide, where he implemented a comprehensive business strategy and led a multi-jurisdictional team to achieve significant growth and global expansion into over 40 markets. Prior to this, he worked in the public sector on the ADB/USAID Reform project as an insurance expert.
